The largest and most important temple in the old town of Sukhothai located on a low plain near to an ancient irrigation dike in the ruined ancient capital of Thailand, Sukhothai. The Wat Sra Si temple, composed of a large statue of the Buddha in the Bhumisparsa-mudra pose and flanked by six tall stone columns.
