The earth rising over the lunar horizon and against a backdrop of stars as would be seen from the landscape of the moon. This would of been the image greeting the first astronauts as the round the moon for the first time. To see the earth as a whole in space is a view that only a very few of humans being have ever encountered. It's amazing to think that it's 240,000 miles to the moon from earth but it took the astronauts just four days to get there, and lucky for us they took a camera.
